Gentle, Timid, Sweet, Loving, Poised, Proper, Sense of morals, Adventurous, Has been pushed to her limits before/causes rebellion, calm, sensable, rational
Akilu is always known first for her gentle heart. She wants to help others and please them, sometimes taking this to a fault. The young woman isn't one to hide her feelings much thinking it's improper and a lie to others. Because of this her heart tends to be worn on her sleeve. Others see it and do what they will; she's been hurt often, but still never has learned. Besides this Akilu is also timid. She doesn't want to be overly forward and thus worries constantly if she's pushing too hard. To be careful with this she normally becomes to soft and a push-over at times.
This doesn't mean that she isn't capable of her own actions and opinions though. On the contrary she yearns to act on her thoughts. Years of learning to stay subdued though weaken her resolve. Akilu is a loving soul though and would try and do anything, often no matter the consequence, to make someone else happy and well. In stressful situations is where the young woman's true personality reveals itself. While others may panic and worry, she'll step forward calmly and think things through. Rationality is her friend at all times.
Even if she's giving an order, something she isn't entirely used to, it is in a soft and poised voice. Akilu tries to remain proper in all situations and live by the rules that have goverened over her all her life. However, after so much pressure and strict hold, it isn't a surprise that Akilu has rebelled in small ways. One instance is that though she was turned down as a healer, and her caretakers told her to forget the lessons she learned, she still tried to gain more knowledge. When her caretakers found this out they forbade her to go out for a fortnight to teach her a lesson. That very evening she slipped out her window and sat on the beach to watch the sun set and the dragons practice overhead.
Appearance:
Akilu in a word can be described as "ethreal." She has a strange beauty to her, something intriguing and strange. Or so she has been told. With a heart shaped face that is adorned with high cheek bones and thin. arched 'brows, she has a decent skull. Her skin is a milk and honey white, the slightest of golden hues can be found when she's spent time in the sun, though it never gets incredibly tanned. Her eyes are a dark, faded blue color. Some say they are brown at times if she's farther away. However when she wears blues or is closer to you it becomes much more obvious.
With long, dark hair that tumbles down in soft waves, Akilu is every bit a holdbred girl in manner and looks. She holds herself with a strict dignity while around the Lords and Ladies. However, when it is the other drudges and healers she will become much more relaxed. The young woman is even known to have more of a "skip" in her step and dance a bit while walking. This all leaves in a forced mode of submission though when it needs to. She has a habit of not meeting another's eyes, but since impressing Nystiarth she has had to break this habit.
Her form is slim and wiry, with a smaller bust and taller body. She's about 5 foot 10, and can be akward about her hieght at times. When this happens she'll slouch a bit more than she means to and tucks her arms in at her sides or around her waist. Generally she wears some sort of dress-like tunic, however they are not made of nice fabrics. Instead they are durable and often patched. When she has to she'll also wear work pants and blouses.
Akilu's voice has been described as soft, and almost sultry in some ways. It can be difficult to hear over others, though that isn't usually a problem. Simply this is because people enjoy her voice generally, though not always. She has a habit of pulling on her hair and messing with the front bangs as well. Whenever she notices she's doing this, Akilu will stand or sit straighter as if she's been scolded. Her hands are slim and sure in the tasks she does, though she has been known to get shaky around blood. She has even fiented a few times whenever she's seen it.

History:
Parents:
Akilu's parents met at a young age. Her mother was a "holdbred" girl in the caverns, and her father was the 4th son of the Lord Holder among the Weyr's group. They grew up together, and it was no wonder that even after her mother became a fully fledged healer she chose to marry Akilu's father. It wasn't long after that they had a baby girl, Akilu, then another they named Zoranille 4 turns later.
Childhood:
Growing up was simple enough for Akilu. She has a free-reign of the hold caverns, or so she liked to think. The rebellious, free girl and her younger sister were much the same and soon the harpers that taught them became worried. For girls of their stature and breed they were acting like weyrbrats! Teaching them firm lessons in etiquette was tedious work, but slowly Akilu and Zora learned. Akilu was the one surprisingly though that succumbed finally. Zora refused to and was sent away to become a candidate among the Serpent Hold.
Akilu hated her parents for this, but she had been taught so firmly now to not speak out. As she continued to grow up she tried to do anything she could to rebel in her own small ways. If she was sent to bed without dinner, she'd steal a bit of bread. If she was locked in her room, she'd sneak out to sit on the beach, even though this was strictly forbidden to all members in case of surprise thread-fall. Time went on and when she was 10 turns old, two turns after Zora had been sent away, she was entered into Apprenticeship in the Healer Halls.
Healer Training:
Lesson after lesson went by and Akilu seemed to excell in stressful situations and memorizing details. Then came the real work and the first sight of blood sent her into darkness. After multiple mistakes like this the Hall almost dismissed the young girl. However, after some one-on-one training she learned to overcome her fears. It was around this time that she also met a boy that fancied her. He was a drudge though, and her parents did anything but approve.
She didn't care though! She wanted to be with him, and she thought herself in love at the tender age of 16 turns. Having been out of her apprenticeship for a while now and part of the journeymen group, Akilu knew that her parents would marry her away soon enough. Time for one last rebellion to take place. She snuck away with the boy for a night of passion. She never expected that anyone would find out, but it was impossible to hide a child growing in her body. Dissapointed in their daughter, the one who they thought would be perfect after their younger child had impressed to a serpent, they dissowned Akilu.
Before Impression:
That left Akilu only to her life as a healer. The boy who had caused her misfortune had left shortly after understanding what was to come. Her child died shortly after its first few months, and the young woman was horrified and distraught. Time seeped on though and she worked hard at her job to forget her pain. It wasn't until she impressed a digger that her emptyness started to fill. Slowly life crept back into her otherwise dead body and she started to wake up. Once again that rebellious child surfaced and she started to sneak out of the caverns behind Terra Falls. It was on one of these trips that fate would meet Akilu face-to-face.
Akilu and Nystiarth's impression:
It was raining...why was it always raining? Akilu shook her head and sighed. Oh well, it wasn't like you could hear it really over the Falls, just feel it against your skin. She didn't mind it either way much. It wasn't really always raining, it just felt like it was. Everytime she came out here it felt like that's all that was waiting for her. At least it wasn't thread right? Throwing her head back the girl let her toes sink into the sand. It felt good. The ocean nearby was gently rolling in despite the drizzle, and the cool wind nipped at her wherry-fleshed skin. Tiny bumps rose along her arms in a delisious sensation.
She was cold, but she was out. Opening her green eyes again to look at the sky, Akilu wondered what it was like to be up there. Only the dragons went there during mating flights. Even then though it was for a short period of time when the female chose her suitor. Pulling some hair in front of her Akilu chewed the end. It was a habit of hers, one that she really should break but didn't want to. The healer wasn't due back in the infirmary for a while yet so no one was missing her. Well Nix was probably but the digger would have to wait.
Closing her eyes again she spread herself out on the sand. No one really ever ventured out in case Thread decided to fall. As far as she knew Akilu was the only one. Letting her lungs fill with the salty air Akilu didn't want to go back to the caverns. The Weyr was a prison not a sanctuary. Still, it was the only safe place left. Stretching her arms up and out, Akilu smiled at the little pops and pleasant strain. She needed to get back, and so she did. Wobbling to her feet she headed back to the Falls, her dark, curly hair flowing behind her.
It was then that she heard the hum. The distinct noise that the dragons and serpents made during a hatching. Looking back at the water the healer saw a few bumps along the waves. The serpents were coming in to! The eggs! Oh the eggs were hatching! Picking up her skirt to help her move, she ran back to the caverns and Weyr. Back in the Weyr the eggs were rocking back and forth. There were 10 in this clutch, a fair number really. No Emeralds had added theirs to the mix this time, so it was purely a Blacklight's, the Senior Queen's to be exact.
Among them were two large eggs, though whether or not they were Pheonix dragons or a Blacklight no one knew. Unlike the Gold Queens of old, Blacklight eggs looked absolutely normal. The Weyr waited patiently as the first one hatched revieling a reddish brown head. A Terra had been birthed, a fairly descent sign. Clapping as the male impressed to a candidate the rest of the eggs started to hatch until there were just a few left. The two largest eggs among them.
The larger of the two let forth a loud crack as a dark form stepped forward. Like the others the lights along her hide glowed, but as a Queen they were more startling against her obsidian hide. She was an average sized Blacklight, with fairly decent sized wings. That meant she'd be able to glide for a long period of time. Good for clutches. Instead of looking toward the candidates though the Queen went to the other large egg. Scratching at the surface of the shell she cried out, challenging the hatchling inside to come forth.
Backing away she turned red swirling eyes on the egg expectantly. It hatched as she wished, and the crowd gasped as yet another black shape stepped forward. Two Queens? This had not happened in a long while. It was possible, thoug incredibly unlikely. Most usually didn't allow both to survive either. Hissing at her smaller sibling, the first Queen clawed at the ground. She wanted to prove herself against this other female! She wanted to be the one to win!
The smaller Blacklight simply cocked her head and fluttered her wings. Nodding suddenly she got to her feet and flicked her tail in her sister's direction. She was not worth her time. Crying out in furry the larger Queen ran toward her smaller sibling and pounced wanting to exact her revenge for not being the only Queen here. Her aim was off though, and the wobble that was still in her newly hatched legs threw her off. Landing on her side, the larger Blacklight hissed again.
Her sibling was already at the candidates and was searching the crowd. Not wanting her sister to get the better of her the first Queen barreled aver and started running up and down the girls. She wanted Hers first! She was the Queen here, not that shrimp of a sister. Seeing the other Queen racing around, the smaller female sat down on her haunches again like a large feline. She could wait, Hers wasn't here anyway. The larger Queen finally found Hers and hissed happily at her smaller sibling. There she had been better!
Shaking her head, the remaining Queen got up and trotted over to the entrance. Imidiately the crowd started running over and attempted to corral the dragonet back into the sands. Her mother called for her even and the Pheonix dragons cried out in alarm. None of it mattered though to the little Blacklight. Hers was not here, but she was close. Akilu at the time was finally at the sands and heard the rucus. Curious she moved to the candidate entrance instead and widened her eyes at what she saw there.
The Queen had laid down, hissing at anyone who got too close. Turning rainbow eyes on Akilu the female snorted. It's about sharding time you got here AkiluMine. Do you have any idea how hungry I am? Poor Nystiarth, starved straight out of the egg because Hers was too stupid to not be on the sands. Girl, I know you're not stupid so stop acting like it and come over here! ....you can close that mouth by the way, it's not very flattering open like that.

After Impression:
Nystiarth and Akilu went from weyrlings to fully fledged Junior Weyrwoman quickly. However fate wasn't finished with them. The current Senior Weyrwoman died around her 20th turn and This sent Nystiarth, her larger sister and the current JuniorQueen into a competition of sorts. One would have to rise soon and fun, but no one knew which it would be. Nystiarth was the first it seemed, but her larger sister quickly rose as well. They faught, and Nystiarth came out victorious, and the new WeyrQueen.

Personality/Appearance:
Nix is an almost white/silver digger in color. Being on the smaller side of her species, the female is a graceful runner. She has long, slender legs and a nimble build. In personality Nix is a mix of lady-like elegance and fierce protector. She will become savage if provoked, but generally as an individual she's a demure pet.

Body- Black
Markings1- 9932CD
Markings2- 00FFAA
Markings3- 00E5EE
Personality:
Devious, Prideful, Flirtacious, Demanding, Vain at times
Nystiarth like all Blacklight dragons is a prideful female that will not stop at exacting any vengeance she sees fit. However, this strict attitude doesn't mean that she can't be flirtacious and loving. In fact more often than not this is her temperment. She loves attention and can be, and is often called, vain. It doesn't matter who it is, the WeyrQueen expects all eyes to be on her.
On top of this Nystiarth also is a devious and cunning Blacklight like most are. She's silent though unlike her clutchmate. The dragoness will plan out and strategize her movements and appeals before making them. However, it doesn't always seem like this since she makes these decisions quickly through turns of practice. Often times she is the more forceful and straightforward of the Blacklight and rider pair. Because of this, when someone mentions one of the two, people generally know that it is Nystiarth that is being talked about.
Appearance:
Nystiarth is on the smaller side of Blacklights. Being around 28 feet long from nose to flank, she's only the size of what smaller blues used to be. However, the grace and poise of any Gold dragon is within her silky black frame. As with all Blacklight dragons, Nystiarth is majorly a dark obsidian. She then has three colors of markings. Unlike most Blacklights who have different hues of one color, she has three entirely seperate colors. The first and most obvious is a neon purple that bands around her neck three times and skirts both her sides laterally and her wing sails. The next is a neon green stripe that travels down from the tip of her head to the tip of her tail. On her back and wings though it spikes out multiple times. The last markings are in a light neon cyan color; they wrap around in bands on her legs, tail, and line the outer parts of her eyes.
Mind Voice:
Come now AkiluMine! You're better than this, we're better than this. Turn to the light of day Mine and face it with open arms as I do with open wings.
Nyst's voice is a smooth ribbon in one's mind. It slides in and out like a snake, slithering along the senses of the listener. It can be harsh at times when she's upset, but mostly it has a husky/flirtacious tone to it.
